Quick Send

We’ve been working on a new feature for EventBox which has been somewhat lacking.

Introducing Quick Send. What is a Quick Send? It’s just a simple window that allows you to post a message to any service which supports status broadcasting. So what’s special about it?

  • It’s super lightweight
  • Its only purpose is to quickly send a message
  • It’s activated by a global hotkey

Sometimes you want to tweet but you feel that bringing up the full power of EventBox is a bit too much. This is where Quick Send comes in. It allows you to send a message without disrupting your workflow and without being carried away reading any new tweets. To see it in action, check out this screencast (H.264).

Quick Send will be arriving in the bleeding edge branch when it’s ready for public consumption.
